Blake Lively’s upcoming movie It Ends With Us, an adaption of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel
, arrives in theaters this week. To promote its impending release, the actress has been serving some serious looks on the press tour, including a strapless floral minidress by Oscar de la Renta in New York City this week. While a designer moment is hardly a surprise, her choice of nails certainly was — Lively was spotted in none other than $10 press-on nails.
To match the bold flower design and dark purple, orange and yellow hues on the dress, Lively wore an embroidery floral nail look with the help of the KISS Salon X-tend LED Soft Gel System in Moonlight.
Celebrity manicurist, Elle Gerstein, created the look by using KISS’ salon quality soft gel extensions, which come in a variety of lengths, shapes and finishes (all starting at $10 each!) — BTW, I’m also a huge fan of these press-ons since they last for two weeks at a time. The nails come pre-sculpted, polished and ready to go, and are a fool-proof way to create a professional-level manicure at home (and for way less coin).
Gerstein prepped Lively’s nails with the included manicure stick and file, before wiping them clean with the prep pad. Since each kit comes with a variety of nail sizes, she pre-selected the ones that would properly fit Lively. Next up, all she did was flash cure each nail under the kit’s LED light for 1 to 2 minutes each. And while the Moonlight nails originally come as solid beige nail tips, Gerstein customized them to complement the Oscar de la Renta dress by adding hand-painted florals in a mosaic pattern.
The KISS Salon X-tend LED Soft Gel System starter kits come with all the accessories you need to apply the press-ons and retail for $23 each. From there, you can purchase different press-on nail designs, starting at $10 each.
